Holy Cow!!!!! WoW!!!! Pro-96

Hi,

I just recently bought a Pro-96, and recently made it to Bucks PA. and the Digital Audio on this scanner in some cases Rivals the Analog audio. It is nothing short of excellent. The Sensitivity/Selectivity is great it blows most other scanners away @ 800MHz it excels at listening to NJSP Troop C which is hard to Track/Hear with most scanners.

Anybody considering buying one don't hesitate, get it. it blows bearcat away when they come out with a mobile i'll buy it definately. I hpoe they come out with a Erricson ProVoice Codec for this thing along with A VSELP Codec.

But anyhow I give this scanner a 10.

Thanks to all who recommended this scanner to me.
Thank You,

Robert

An AMBE 2020 CODEC, maybe. A VSELP CODEC, no way!

You can also forget about M/A-Com Pro-Voice ever being able to be heard on a digital scanner. M/A-Com will never license anyone to produce a scanner for that. People forget that the only reason you can receive P25 transmissions with these scanners is because P25 is an open standard and anyone can produce a piece of radio equipment for it. Motorola VSELP and M/A-Com Pro-Voice are far from open standards.

M/A-Com Pro-Voice scanner support would never happen anyways because it is way too small of a percentage of the market. Motorola's IMBE has the lion's share of the digital voice Public Safety market, by far and away.
