vhf spectra fail999

have a vhf spectra with a fail 999. no internal mods have been done to the radio, how do i clear this error?

That error is a serial number mismatch. You should be able to get the radio in test mode, but the serial number on the MLM differs from the command board. You'll have to get in a change them to match.

You need Spectra Lab RSS to edit the serial numbers. I can do this for you if you PM me to work out the details. I'm in MN, they're other members who can do this for you who maybe closer, also.

What was the circumstanses leading to this failure code. Any changes in the radio?
