HT750 DOS Problem

Post by LCFD1 »

Greetings-

I have a bunch of HT-750s and a bunch of CDM 1250s. I set my DOS auto mute on the CDM to 175. Everything works fine (the mdc on the ht750 is set to pre, with 100 pretime). The CDM mutes and IDs fine. Everything works great. However, I cannot get the HT750 to mute the mdc. No mater how long I set the automute, I still get the full burst. Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks

Is it possible that your pre- time on the cdm's are set too long?

What radios do you own?: The best that low bid can buy.

did you make sure that the channel that is using the MDC is also Decoding MDC? it has to be able to decode it to know that it is there to mute it.

Thanks Coyote,

That was it. I dont need the HT750s to do anything with the mdc, so I didnt think to enable mdc in the signaling rx.

Does anybody see any problem with using 100 ms as a pretime? We do not use repeaters, so that shouldnt be an issue. It all seems wo work fine here in the station, I was just wondering in the real world if 100 ms is too short. What about 75 or 50 ms?
