I have a S range (450 to 527 Mhz) EX 500. Does anyone know if it is posible to enter somehow Ham frequency into this radio? (440 to 450 mhz).
I realize there is a lower range unit but thats not what I have. Are there any secret keys to press durring programming process? I tried "SHIFT" with no results.
Sorry, no one here has figured out how to extend the bandsplits for the Waris series radios such as the EX500. There are some who claim to know how to do it, but nobody's sharing.

I do not know if it is the same with the US version, but european waris can be tweaked without great efforts, just looking in the CPS exe for the band limits in AFAIR 32bit unsigned long, changing them to the wanted value, and there you are. No problem at all, and no secret knowledge to share. I am just to lazy to write down a step by step manual for the absolute beginners :)

We could do that for the very earliest versions of the CPS, which had a GP300.exe file that contained the bandsplits. We cannot find them in the CPS.exe file which exists in all CPS versions since.
What does AFAIR stand for?

Which CPS are you referring to? We can modify the bandsplits for Waris radios such as the MTX1500/4500/850/950/8250/9250 in the CPS, but we cannot do it for Waris radios such as the HT/CDM 750/1250/1550, as the CPS is a different package.

I only have experience with the european GP series Waris radios, and with all of them (conventional/5-tone and MPT) it worked at once, without any hassle.
