Spectra VHF radio programming problem

I have some nice Spectra VHF, but I can nott programming that radio station. I have a right programming RIB cable, but software tell me "Wrong protocol". What is the problem, please?

I have a VERSION R05.03.00 05-APR-92, but I have old radio.

your computer is too fast...try using REAL dos and not a "dos box" or "command prompt" ...

either that or your supply voltage is too low....

That version RSS would be ok for most Spectras.

Use a computer NO FASTER than 166 mhz and REAL DOS, no windows stuff anywhere. A 486 50 mhz is what is recomended.

MUST boot directly into DOS 6.22 or 7.0.
