HT1000 problem

Post by racemedic »

I have a vhf HT1000, when I power up the radio with a good battery I get a steady tone. I can read the radio and program info into it and it will read it back out correctly, but I still have the steady tone. Any ideas?

Might have the scan function turned on with nothing in the scanlist. Find out which button or switch activates/deactivates the scan, and check that.

You may have the rotary switch selecting a channel that is not programmed to be active.

akardam was right, it had scan turned on but nothing in the list. I hit the side buttons and it turned off and now it seems to work just fine.

Thanks
Bob
