i have several customers with analog 100 watt spectras i was thinking about just changing out the draws for astro high power spectras for narrow band change over

will the analog control heads work with the astro draws

No, sadly they won't. The cables will, though, so you won't have to tear any vehicles apart to re-run cables. Supposedly you can change the firmware in an A9 to make it a W9, but that is probably more trouble than it is worth.

HLN1185B and later (I believe the last revision was HLN1185D) will work with either analog or Astro Spectras.

HLN1185A will work only with analog radios.

Keep in mind Astro Spectras have the same time-bomb capacitor problem the analog radios did. If the caps have not been replaced in yours, they should be.

On that same note, has anyone compiled a list of exactally what caps need replaced in each model V U 800? I have never done this...but I have 3 spectras now and would rather nip the issue before it becomes one.
