What radios do you own?: Saber Series, XTS 3000

SVA question

Post by N7QQU-Ken »

Hello All-

I have a NTN5487B SP02 with a NTN6150A display microphone. I have found conflicting information about compatibility. Will this work with Saber and Systems Saber radios? The mic is where I am finding the conflicting information.
Thanks for the help:)

The 6150 mic will work to a limited extent with a Systems Saber, but to do it right there is another mic which is a 6169 that's designed for the System Saber/SVA combination.

Sounds like you have one of the Indiana State Police surplus kits.. the SP02 designation refers to a PAC-RT interface that turns it on whenever the radio is lifted from the cradle. I used one primarily with System Sabers and as long as you can remember what button does what they work fine.

I've ran an SVA with a 6150 mic on it with a Systems Saber before. As was already stated, you just have to remember which button is which, functionality is still mostly the same.
