Brad,

The reason is you're trying to use the wrong software. What you're trying to use is for the Astro Saber/XTS3000 and is
CPS/GUI, whereas you need the DOS version 6 or 7 which is the standard Saber software.

Hi Tom-long time -hope all is well.

Ok I will try the other DOS versions , I did program my two Astro III's with the CPS so I was a bit confused .

Will try it out on my old laptop and see how it goes.

Thanks

Tom is correcct, RSS is the ONLY software you can use with any analog Saber, as CPS is for the Astro series alone.

The older analog Sabers were not able to be read with any iteration of CPS, so the attempt will be futile.

Try to obtain the latest version of RSS you can, then you will be able to program the entire analog Saber line, including the Systems models.

The information given above is, I believe, incorrect.

The Saber and Systems Saber are 2 completely separate RSS packages. One RSS will NOT work with the other radio.
No, I will not fix your computer. Call back during NORMAL business hours.

Original Saber radios require RVN4002 RSS. This is a DOS-only package.

Systems Saber radios require RVN4051 RSS. This also is DOS only.

Astro Saber radios require RVN4182, or the Portable/Mobile combo RVN4184 RSS/CPS. Early versions were DOS, the current versions (CPS) are Windows.
