Minitor II second frequency alert

Post by blaster668 »

I have a Minitor II that has option R239 installed, here is the description of this option from the Minitor page. Option-Alert on 2nd Frequency; Jumper Connection-JU3A4, OUT; Function Affected-Position 3 Paging Enable; Function SW. Position-S301A-3

Can anyone tell me exactly what this option does? In the bell position, will both F1 and F2 alert, or just F1 or F2? In the "1"position will it just openly monitor F1 like a standard Minitor II? In the "2" position will it just openly monitor F2 like a standard Minitor II or will it act like the bell position on a standard unit but for F2?

Thanks in advance.

In the bell position just F1 will alert. In the "1" position it will monitor F1. In the "2" position it will act like the bell position but for F2.

JU3A4 out does allow for tone alert in the "2" position.

In the standard Minitor II, the positions marked "1" and "2" are both Monitor Mode.
The "Bell" position (F1) is the only position that is Silent until tone activated (Alert Mode, Non-Monitor)

If your pager is 2-channel, and you want F2 (position marked "2") to be Alert Mode (non-Monitor),
then you need to defeat Monitor Mode for F2 by installing jumper JU3B1

To have position marked "2" to be alert mode (non-monitor), do you need to install JU3B1 and have JU3A4 out or just install JU3B1?
