I just got in a new batch of CP200s and when I go to program them I get an Error #2409.
Figuring Motorola must have released a newer version of software I login and check it out and to my surprise they haven't.
So I am using the latest "available" software with Motorola Cable, Motorola Rib, to a real serial port and windows XP.
I can read and write to older CP200's just not the new ones.
I called Motorola and so far they have no ideas.
Anyone else experiencing issues? or have any ideas?
Thanks,
Jason

Out of curiosity, what's the latest you're seeing on MOL? They aren't always quick to update everyone's account, and depending on who you get on the phone, may not have a clue that there is actually a later version. As far as I know, the latest is 5.13

Can you read the radio with tuner?
Can you get the firmware kit to put the radio in bootstrap mode? (if you have the flash adapter)
Can you get the patch tool to recognize the radio is present and doesn't need upgrading?
Where in the write process is it failing? Do you get any progress on the meter?

Using 5.13
Haven't tried the tuner - I will give it a shot.
I do not have the flash adaptor
Usually gets about one bar and fails.
Motorola is still working on my case - they are now saying I may have to send them the radios to investigate.
The customers is not happy as they have been waiting months for these radios as they were on backorder.
I will try using the tuner and see what happens.

try completely uninstalling and reinstalling CPS 5.13. Had a very similar issue when the 5.13 came out, had 5.09 before and it did not get fully uninstalled and got the same problem when trying to program a brand new CP200-XLS.

So I did as suggested and completely uninstalled and then reinstalled the CPS and that seems to have fixed the issue.
Thank you all for your advice!
