HP 4944A TIMS

Post by fineshot1 »

Any one have any experience with or docs for - soft copy either user or service manual on this unit.

Seems like a nice older early 1990's model.

I just received one and would like to know more about its usage
and I need to check it out thoroughly before using it in the field
to confirm it works accurately.

OK - got around to checking this out with another 4934A TIMS and it had a receive level problem
that I corrected by re-seating a couple of cards to the mother board.

I still need any kind of doc (other than the specs which I have) like the users or service manuals.

Is your equipment model number 4934A or 4944A...you have listed both numbers in your posts. The manuals that HP offers on the 4935A are here: http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/fac ... ct=SR.Next
I couldn't find the 4944A model number listed.

Al - its a 4944A. I used the 4934A in our shop to test it.

I could not find any doc on the internet for it either. I was hoping someone
on batlabs would have some old doc hanging around in their shop that they
could either send me or copy for me.

Tucker Electronics has the photocopied manuals for sale, the operating man is $35, and they want $80 for the operating/service manual.

Thanks a bunch - i am not sure why that did not turn up on my google searching.

Those docs are a bit pricey considering the age of the unit but it looks like they are the only source.
