How can I get a 1299 Hz tone on Minitor V?

Post by W1HVN »

Home programming a pager for work,

As such we monitor another local agency for activity and awareness.

Tone sets are:

1299/1800
1299/1200
1299/2400

Setting up so any of the three will set it off.

Can't get it to recognize any tone around 1300. Any thoughts?

Using User tone set, not Moto, plectron, etc.

Any help appreciated.

Btw it's a UHF 453-460 2ch stored voice unit.

For clarification, when I say recognize, I mean program in the tone, it goes up to 1310 and down to 1285, won't allow anything in between as it defaults High or low.

Hope that helps to clarify.

On the first page Tone System "USER"
On the channel page Coding Option "R97"

When I enter 1299.0 it rounds it to 1299.9, Should work fine
Cause Motorola said so that's why
