Ok, I know I was born yesterday, under a rock, in the dark, on a far away planet and I have no common sense, but seriously. Why in the heck is the case tool 6685833D01 20$ when its 25 cents worth of plastic and metal?!?!?!?!?!?! Been trying to track this down and all I see is highway robbery! Even calling Moto direct, general public price is 20$, various online sites go north of that!
Am I missing something here or does Moto think we were all born yesterday?!

Do you complain when Snap On charges $100 for a wrench that is made of maybe 1 dollar worth of metal?
Or do you expect your vendors to not make any money? Like they're running a charity or something?
Use a flat head screwdriver to the open the case. If you happen to crack the housing or cut the O-ring you'll know why you need the right tool for the job.

They used to be only $4.20 dealer cost, I see they are now $17.00. That is a bit of a price jump.

For the same reason that the U.S. Air Force pays $200 for toilet seats for some of its aircraft and $100 for claw hammers...because some defense contractor has them made in relatively small quantities to fulfill Air Force contract requirements and then has to tie up its money having them on the shelf for whenever the AF *might* requisition them.

Wait till you need the "PMDN4039AR PMDN4039 - CRAB EYE NUT OPENER - BPR40", that hunk of metal runs $55. Most of the various "tools" required for disassembly run in the $20 range. None of them are common between models and you must buy a minimum of 2 or 3.
