I hate that phrase! "I was told...."

How about being forthcoming with us and at least tell us who "told" you and what authority they have to do so.

This business of telling only a piece of the story is just plain wrong. And I surely hope some of the others here feel the same way.

The cat's out of the bag. The Minitor 6 exists. At least one department has them, presumably for final field testing. We even know which department. Taking the pictures down because an unspecified someone "told you to" isn't going to stuff the cat back in that sack.

I'll probably get yelled at for standing up here and shouting that the king isn't wearing any clothes. If I do, I won't hide behind "I was told..."

I was told by a Radio Communications Person in my area. I didn't really know if I should have or not. But I did.

I image the department that was beta testing the pagers did so with some form of non-disclosure agreement in place (either formal or an informal). Posting pictures on the net would not be in the spirit of such agreement.

We did some beta testing of some vehicle emergency equipment a couple of years ago. We had to sign a NDA between us and the manufacturer. Our input was considered and at least one design change was made as a result of our testing. It was a trust relationship in the effort to better the product.

For those with access, there is a new Minitor VI photo posted at Moto Collective.

My Motorola Corp rep is advising Feb 2014 release.

The features many of you are looking for are all available (voice and alphanumeric paging all in 1 unit) and water submersible in the Unication G1 Basic + BT and G1 GSM + BT models.

They have several promotions currently running.

PM me for more info or at www.HoffmanRadioNetwork.com.

Digital as in data transmission like an Alpha? Highly unlikely as there is no display screen in any of the pics we've seen.

Digital as in radio transmission? Unknown at this point. We're all waiting to see the specs on it.

One of the things I am wondering is if it will be dual band in one unit. Again, unknown for now.

Digital as in P25 Rx. I think it's safe to say a majority of departments in need of alpha paging have text solutions in place
