Astro spectra info needed

Hi, Is the handheld control cable the same for a regular Spectra and an Astro spectra?

I expect that the control cable is a simple db25 to db25 straight through extension cable, as you can simply also just plug both the A3 and W3 hHCH directly into the radio. So I would have to guess that yes they are the same. This thread probably does not belong in the buy and sell, though.

They are not the same and you will smoke your radio if you use the wrong cable.

Sorry. I know that is true between the A3 and W3, different heads, different faceplates on the radio. I expected that the extension cable would be the same, though.
