It would really help for you to tell us what model radio you are asking about. The answer is different for every model made.

It would also help a bunch to know what kind of ID you want to use.

Still not enough info. Is this over a trunked system? Digital or analog? MDC ID or other?

Considering 911351 isn't a valid MDC, it would be digital ID.

OP: It's called Astro Call List or Trunking Call List.
Schrodinger's Radio: It is simultaneously too loud and too quiet, but you will never know which until someone transmits.

I knew that. Just trying to coax the OP to put enough info on the table so that someone could answer his question correctly.

ok guys sorry for all this confusion i was trying to figure out for a friend on our trunked radio system how his department could program there radios up. So they don't see number ids on the display screen of the radio instead they would see the alpha tag on the radio is self i.e. medic 3 or dispatch-1 i just need how to tell him were to put the radio id numbers such as 911351 please excuse my lack of knowledge on this issue

We have answered your question above. You need to go into ASTRO Call List or Trunking Call List within the CPS.
Schrodinger's Radio: It is simultaneously too loud and too quiet, but you will never know which until someone transmits.

Don't forget, you will need a sys key for said operation...
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
