I was wondering if the short Lithium Ion battery will last as long as a tall high capacity ni cad battery when just monitoring and not transmitting, or will it not last as long as the high capacity ni cad? Thanks

Compare the current rating of one battery to the rating of another battery. The higher number wins in all cases.
