AS3 Squelch

Squelch Fine Tune..

My squelch appears to be high...when in the fringe areas of our machine at work I need tohit the monitor button at times to 'hear' it...

If I want to lower the squelch should I (in theory) lower the value or rasie it..the help screen doenst seem to be clear in this regard...

If I want to do a blanket squelch value chage across all freqs is that imbeeded in the service menu?

In the personailty screen, under more options there is a squelch "Fine Tune" option that goes from 0-15. I find that on VHF a low number works well, and on UHF a high number works good. Each radio may be a little different.
