Just confirmed it, they're up and running in digital.

Just to make it known, they're not running the entire nypd on dig., only one "special" disp. freq. that I am aware of.....

They're not operating it as an actual channel from what I found out.
I believe they're simulcasting the channel (not sure of the analog freq) that holds 1/5/7 and PSA 4.
Nothing digital brings up a repeater or gets out.
Maybe they're testing it for some certain purpose.
ASTRO modulation, (imbe) has also been noticed on OCCB freqs.

You'll notice some NYPD channels simulcasting a little more on some odd-ball channels for licensing purposes...
NJ Agencies are crying for channels that NYC has tied up and weren't using. NYPD, the largest user of radios next to DOITT is simulcasting to make "activity" on the channel.
