What reports codeplug too new? If it's just depot, try loading it into the CPS/RSS and writing regardless. Or doesn't that work? :)

FAIL 01/82 is codeplug checksum failure.

jesus sam, I said `MTSX', Not `ASTRO', the astro will corrupt the codeplug for what your wanting to do. Astro is big NO-NO. use orig. codeplug and load through mtsx to restore. then try your new codeplug again with the MTSX with the read/write with no unpack. thats the only way. Will never work with the astro, the conversion the RSS uses is to old and wont fully recongize your codeplug. Hence your problem.

well the radio will not communicate with the cps, rss or lab software ( I have another radio that does) so it must be the radio. i have been told that it is not a corrupted codeplug but a internal checksum error on the control board. the original codeplug i have is not a dos rss file. but saved from cps it is called xts.cpg however the lab rss says ERROR : this file is not a valid archive
