hi there guys ive just purchased my second xts3000 and programed it up but noticed in analog when talking to another radio my voice seems to echo.so has anybody had this problem before? can i turn it off in the RSS or would you say i have a problem thanks in advance for any help
Takes a slight amount of time longer for the audio to be processed in an astro radio than an analog radio. I don't know why but that was the explaination that was given to me...

The RX delay option only governs how long the radio waits to unmute it's speaker upon carrier detect. It has no effect on the actual DSP processing delay or echo effect.

well i dont think its the DSP why do i think this beacuse i have another xts and that dosent do it my friend has also got one and that dosent do it. maybe i do have a problem i dont realy know what seting to look for in the codeplug that may cause this ill have to have another look.thanks heaps for your help once again guys and remenber if you come up with any more info on this subject please post thank you
r0f wrote:Different firmware revisions have different DSP delays. Don't worry about it. It's completely naturual. If you're hearing feedback (squeeling) then turn your volume down, or use a speaker-mic. It will go away. If you're hearing a slight echo while listening to yourself talk (on another astro) don't worry!!!!!! It's the way the radio works. It's got a DSP, and takes time to go back and forth from analog/digital.

now this is the best explanation that ive had so far .and just for the record the echo is hapening in analog when i transmit to any other radio brand ive tried transmiting to 5 diferent radios in analog same thing.but thanks to all that helpd
