OK, here is a brain twister for you experts. When programming an XTS3000 with an Astro 25 trunked personality, the radio will display FAIL001 when that personality is selected. Conventional channels work fine. Astro channels work fine. Just Astro 25 trunked goes stupid. Even cloned from an identical working unit. I'm just stumped..............
CPS 2.0
Host 7.11.00
DSP 8.02.06
Flash 540008-000480-6
Mod H09UCH9PW7BN
Stumped FAIL 001 XTS3000

The controller board was ordered from Mot with this flashcode installed from what I am told. No "tools" or anything like was used.

stumped
I talked with Motorola people. They seem to think it's a checksum error (unpublished). Not real helpful though. Just send it in and they will take care of it.
My difficulty is, if you order a contoller board with this flash code, wouldn't one think that it would have a host/dsp combination that supports the feature set? I mean look at the flash code, we're not talking anything special, it's a very basic set. No bells or whistles.
This is a pusuit of knowledge, understanding and a working radio. Any one of these three accomplishments would be nice, all three would be great.
I belive we were put on this planet to gain knowledge and understanding, in between caring for our fellow mankind.
Thanks for your input!
