Is it possible to have a CP too big in AS3?

Post by otter9309 »

I have a full feature AS3 and recently tried to load a large codeplug 205ch and radio gave me a 01/82 fail. After removing some of the ch's radio kicked ass again. Give me your thoughts.

Thanks

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

I don't have either of mine all filled up, but someone mentioned (I never looked it all up) that each time you create a zone, you lose a channel. Could this be part of the problem?

As long as the RSS doesn't complain, I don't know why the radio is complaining unless there is an issue with it.

Your flashcode probably has options open that you don't use and your codeplug was too big.

Had the same thing happen to my buddies XTS3500. I reprogramed the radio with a codeplug that had the same flashcode and had to start all over again.

what a pain that was!

I have an ASTRO Spectra with a whored out flashcode. It has 200+ freqs in it and sometimes fails programming with the radio displaying FL 01/82, or something like that. I just reprogram and all is well.

So I think when you have a bloated flashcode it's quite possible.
