i am using my ht1000 in the 151 mhz range. it does not seem to like these freqs and sometimes appears to recieve and transmit off frequency. can i adjust it somehow?

If it is really a VHF HT 1000, then it should work fine on 151.xxx. I'm not sure what you mean by "it appears to tx and rx off frequency".....have you had it bench checked, to see? Or does it rx and tx on a different channel than the one you have selected? If it is just slightly off freq., then that can be corrected via the RSS. If it is recieving and transmitting on a channel other than the one you have selected, then that might also be able to be "corrected" via the RSS. It might be scanning, or maybe it is programmed incorrectly. Either way, anyone with the RSS, the proper test equipment, and some basic knowledge of repairing radios should be abel to tune it up right.

it may need an alignment. You will need the RSS and a service monitor. Also, make sure you are using the correct antenna. there are a couple of different splits for vhf helical antennas. if you need to cover freqs across acouple of those splits. M does sell a wideband VHF antenna.
