ASTRO SPECTRA ER 09/10

Hi, I have the next problem:

Sometimes (randomly) when I try to transmit, the radio send me a continuous busy tone and diplay show the message " ER 09/10 ".
Sometimes when radio has turned off and then turned on the problem
end but others time I have to erase encryption key and then reloaded.

Someone know what is happening and what does means ER 09/10 ?

09/10 "Secure option not communicating with radio" Corrective action "turn the radio off then on"

Above is from the manual regarding power-up failure codes. It may be a bad encryption module.

PS - in the Astro Spectra Plus chart the corrective action is the replace the secure module.

Try re-seating the module.
