Anyone running a current firmware UCM in any ASTRO radio MUST have CPS 3.0 if they want their encryption to work (I admit this is a new phenomenon with the UCM module, but it is now the case according to my price book notes in the Encryption Section). And, anyone sending their ASTRO radio to Rockford for service will need CPS 3.0, just as soon as they get their radio back. More and more, to run your radio with full Motorola support (FLASHport upgrades, service needs, newer parts that involve firmware such as the UCM, etc.) it's getting to be more and more of the norm that you must stay current. Don't forget that once you buy the CPS, you're good to go for 3 full years. When do you remember taxes being good for 3 years?!

Is it possible to program out of band frequencies with CPS?
I have a need for a high split UHF radio, but also a requirement to be able to take it down into the ham band.

Mot Australia supplied NZPolice with CPS3.0 a little over two months ago, so I imagine it is available.
