Low Power Out XTS 5000 VHF

For whatever reason, my VHF 5K appears to have a low RF power output problem. It receives fine, so the antenna and connector are probably good. Any known home remedies, or are we looking at a trip to the depot? I'll put it on the Bird if I ever get home and see what it's actually outputting.

Also, anyone know what the current rate is for depot repairs on these units? I'll assume that either the RF power module is out or something related.

Thanks for reading. If it's not one darned thing in this world, it's another! But hey, I'm in the service racket, so I suppose I should just take my turn on the receiving end

I put the radio on the wattmeter last night - zilch RF out. No clue as to what happened. I can hear the exciter, so either the driver or finals are toast. Calling MOL Monday to find out what the repair rate is. BOHICA...

Flat rate is best bet route to go, $327.
You'll get a new to you radio.
PA replacement on these boards is not easy.

Hopefully I'll get it back from the depot with the same flash. The tags on the radio are missing, but it's not a whore flash - pretty basic with FPP, Multikey, IMBE, and soft ID. We'll hope for the best. I'd hate to get it back with only H35 enabled.

Saw the other recent post on the flat rate - appears to be the way to go for here too.

As long as the model and serial number are valid, you'll get back what it was shipped with, any unofficial upgrades aren't carried over. But at least you'll have a working radio, and they'll print you some fresh highly desirable tags too.
