Need help ressurecting 3K with Fail 01/82

Post by PhillyPhoto »

Can anyone help me with getting a 3K working again? I got it cheap on eBay since it boots to Fail 01/82. It's an 800 mhz radio that I'd like to get 9600 on. Is anyone able to get it working again and convert it over to 9600/model III (it's a II now)? CPS does read it, but gives checksum errors, so it's not completely bricked yet. I should be able to get model III parts if need be, but need the codeplug to be MIII.

Your going to have to force a known good codeplug or s-record into it. Since you can read it, what is the host/dsp version. Wondering if it even supports 9600 trunking.

It can read in so-far-as it sees the radio there, but it can't unpack it due to errors with the codeplug. I also can't get it to go into self test on boot up. I was hoping someone can take care of the good plug and firmware at the same time.

If you willing to ship it I can take a look at it and fix it if possible. There would be a charge.
