Question on ASTRO25 (APCO-25) systems

Do radios programmed for ASTRO25 trunking automatically decode and display the digital ID display or is that something reserved only on typeII digital systems??

It's an option you can enable or disable in radiowide/display. The actual radio id is in the background data of the digital voice channel. So it's basically the same operation as a SmartNet/Zone ASTRO system since the traffic channel is the same. And I believe you need the digital id option to be able to display a radio's id.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't experimented with full APCO-25 systems yet.
