APX 6500 urc hw error and restarting issue

Hello, We recently installed several APX 6500 mobile radios. Many of them are giving a "urd hw error" upon boot up, and several cycle on and off several times before they stay on. The wiring is sound and these were replacing astro spectra mobiles that had no issues.
We are in Wisconsin and it has been cold, but I have never had a radio give errors or fail to turn on due to weather, but my experience is only the last 20 years.

Is it URD or URC? If it is URC are you really using the universal relay controller since these are replacing Astro Spectras? If you are not familiar with the URC it allows you to control the lights via the radio control head.

We only use it to control the siren. Our lights are on the old moto wildcards.
It's definitely urc, not urd.

Then whoever programmed them messed it up. URC must be enabled an it should not be. Get it reprogrammed (URC disabled).

Btw what control head style and is the siren in the head or a dek box?

07 head with external siren control box.

The O7 can control the lights and siren on the keypad....though the buttons are small so the dek might be preferred. I too am in Wisconsin. Who programmed your radios? They need to correct the URC issue.
