You put them in the system key folder of your RSS and then you are able to put that system into the radio as a trunking system.

First off, do you know what a system key is? It's a small data file, unique to each system, which is needed to program certain parameters into Motorola trunked radios, such as system ID, control channels, talkgroups, etc. So, if you have such a file, you of course have to tell the RSS/CPS where to find this file. In the RSS (most versions), from the main menu press F9 (set up computer configuration)->F3 (PC configuration). There will be a path called "System Key" and you can manually enter in the path to the folder where your system key resides. Press "F8" to save the information & you'll have to exit & re-load the RSS for it to take effect.
In the CPS there's actually a couple of ways to do it. The first is called "importing". You go to "file", then "import", then "system key". You browse to the folder where your system key resides & double click the desired key. You can then program the radio, no re-loading of the CPS required. The problem with this method is you have to import it each time you re-start the program. Otherwise, you can go to one of the other top menus (tools, or options perhaps, I don't have the program in front of me) and browse to the folders where you have your system keys & other files such as Flashport files, etc.
