It interfaces to your mobile radio using the 25 pin assy connector using the typical wires. Tx audio, rx audio, ptt, ground, cor.

I think the Rx audio is pretty good and seems to have a range of about 100 meters w/o the special amp but it drops of quickly if you go around or into a building. It has decent penetration into a typical wood constructed house but very poor on a solid concrete or metal building.

In the tests we did we found the Tx audio to be quite good as well but not quite the range of the Rx.

To have multiple users you would need a special interface box that allows you to connect multiple cradles to one radio. I am not aware of any way to pair more than one mic to a single cradle.

For range and effectiveness I think an extender like the Pyramid SVR200 is still a better option. The mic works well and is easy to hook up, interface, and adjust. As long as you know the range limitations and can work within those parameters you should be okay.
