XTS5000 Ram 22 vs Bravo 122.

I own a UHF "R" split 5000 that works fine & has the Ram 22 processor. It works well, but I have to leave the host/DSP at 14, because at 15, the radio has the famous stutter problem. The radio is mainly used on ham freq's, & I've never been motivated to upgrade the fw. Apparently Bravo 122 radios don't have this problem. However I think I read somewhere that the newest fw bump can solve the stutter problem. If this is true, is there any other advantage of a Bravo 122 vs a Ram 22? I know many here like to have the newest fw, but for my hobby use, is there a big difference between 14, & the newest? GARY

Yes Motorola did fix the stutter problem....I don't recall at what version but can confirm it was addressed.

Thanks Jason. My other question is would a 5000 with the Bravo processor have any advantage over a 5000 with the Ram processor if both radios had the newest FW? GARY

Hey Gary, it would be transparent to the user. One is not faster than the other, or have any real advantages over each other. Pretty much early production vs later production.

Thanks Marc. By the way I love your avatar. I loved the Soprano's, & Paulie was my favorite wiseguy. GARY
