PM1500 and Astro 25

I know Astro 25 can be added to a PM1500. Does it take a trip to the depot, or can it be added in the field? If it is added in the field, what equipment is needed? Either way, what is the part number and cost?

Project 25 conventional can be added to the PM1500. All you need is a flash upgrade key for the radio, which can be obtained from any reputable dealer. Might I suggest talking with escomm here on the board?

The kit is above price book, so there is no part number for it per se. You can send the unit to the depot but they will charge you for labor on top of the upgrade. IIRC it's $400 a pop for P25
