If the internal battery on a XTS5000 is dead, will the radio loose its hardware encryption keys if the external battery is removed? Infinite key retention is enabled.

the battery is just for the clock.
FWIW, I have 6 Astro Saber VHF with DES-XL keys in them with IKR. The radios have had batteries removed for years. They still have the keys in them and pass traffic with encryption on.
