Multiple APX radios with single GPS antenna

Has anyone tried using more than one APX mobile connected to a single GPS antenna? I have an installation with 3 APX6500s all with GPS enabled. I don't really want to mount 3 GPS antennas. Since they are receive only I am guessing it may be possible to split the antenna to multiple radios however I assume they may be active antennas with DC power coming from the radio. Has anyone tried this before?

Easy enough to do, you can use standard satellite CATV splitters of the type with a power bypass on one port (that radio must always be active to power the GPS active antenna for the other radios to work). If you don't like F connectors or the insertion loss gets too high then there are lots of off-the-shelf units with sma connectors see:

And

PS: I have not tried these on a APX radio.
