Batboard

I'm looking to add a headset to an XTL2500 radio, but don't want to have to install an intercom system to do it. Preferably we'd like to have both the hand mic and headset available, but willing to switch between the two if it's the only way to do it. Does anyone know of any good ways to accomplish this? Is there something that is available after market that is easy to install?

Go with a headset that has a carbon equivalent mic like a H3342 David Clark.

Make up a box for it to plug into. Use a DPDT PTT switch to activate PTT and switch mic audio. Wire to the rear accy plug on the radio.
