RFS Model 0185417U02 duplexer I broke one of the right angle male/female N connector center pins. This part also has the RG142 cable I can do the cabling stuff I just need a source for this special connector. It is a Delta RF part 1105034 N001-002 I already have a call into Delta. If you look up the duplexer model you can see the connector for the HI side.

Did you find one yet? They are common to those who play with duplexers.

No I have not. I did call Delta and they offered to sell me 500ea min order. How nice of them. Kinda sucks they can not just sell 2 or 3 of them. Thought that was on the greedy side. But still looking.

If I was in this situation I would cut the crimp ring off the connector and unsolder the center conductor inside the little cover. Crimp a regular 142 type N connector on the end of the wire. Replace the tee with a N type tee F x M x F.

Just make sure you trim the cable so that the total length to the point where it tees together is the same as before but at high band, a quarter inch or so is not going to make any difference.

I thought of that, I just might have to do that since the maker of the connector is no help to the little guys. Can not believe they will not sell just 2 connectors. I tried their dealers they sell to and they are out of stock.

My opinion on these sorts of things is get it done with available parts and move on with it, the radio waves do not care what kind of connector they are passing through.

I tried getting the cover off, pretty hard at the moment. Will try again this weekend.

I would use a dremel type cutoff wheel to remove the crimp ring, and it might work on the cover too. If it is a little pressed in plate it could be drilled and pulled with a sheet metal screw, or I might try putting the whole thing on an anvil and hitting it with a large hammer on the side to mash it sideways and hopefully pop the cover.

Thought about a vice and a Hammer screw driver, needs some parts from Mouser first.

Ok one cap came off the other did not, even with a impact screw driver. So I drilled that one out and remade the cable ends with Amphenol N connectors. How do I get pictures to load!
