Does Motorola make a VHF stubby antenna for the XTS models?

I don't think Motorola makes a stubby, but I have seen a few VHF XTS3000s with the VHF Visar antenna on them. I haven't tried this setup with my VHF, but I would guess that it would work. The VHF Visar antenna looks a bit like the UHF Jedi/XTS whip.

The sherriffs department in the county I live in operates vhf ht1000s and they have the stubby antenna on them with psm mic as well, so thanks for the info ill have to search around for a part number or something like that.
Thanks!

Yes, Motorla makes a stubby. It is about 2 or so inches long... no it is not the visar antenna. It was designed for use w/ public safety mics in the Jedi series... (same SMA adapter as xts) But, it SUCKS. It is nowhere near as good on TX or RX as a standard helical or a dipole wide-band antenna. (by the way... i have a VHF xts3000) I switch back and forth w/ my 2 antennas and have noticed a bit better rx w/ the wideband. Just for sh*ts and giggles, i will play with the vhf stubbies on this radio to see if there is any use for it at all. I will let you know, but if you hear nothing, assume it sucks, i gave up, and dont care enough to bother responding.
Hope this helps!

IF you have nicely voted VHF system or are using vehicular repeater i.e extender pac-rt type units they work just great. Alternatively I have found the VHF visar antenna works nicely on all the jedi VHF prortables and is small enough to use on the PSM mic.
The wideband antenna is nice, but its so damn big. Even bigger than a dipole 800 antenna!
