Looking for wireline connection info for the MC2000 tone remote desk set (L3216A). Will be connecting to a MTR2000 base station of which I am familiar for wireline use, just need connection info at the TR desk set end.

The terminal strip inside is labelled with L1 & L2 pairs (if memory serves). Use L1 for two wire, and if 4 wire, use L1 for TX, and L2 for RX. You set 2 or 4 wire with the MC2000 software.

Thanks for the reply. There is a 4 position terminal block on one of the 2 inside boards but only has terminal 1 and 4 marked (assuming the 2 & 3 are the terminals in between). To test this 4 position block, I connected a telco buttset to check for TX audio from the TR console but could not get any audio using all possible 2 wire combinations of the 4 terminals. I then tested the RJ45 jack (labeled "audio") at the rear of the TR and had good TX audio using the buttset to monitor at center wire pair (RJ45 pins 4 & 5). Then to check for RX monitor audio, I connected an audio source to the same RJ45 connector at pins 3 & 6 but did not get any monitor audio. Thinking about this test, the pins 3 & 6 would be for a 4 wire set up, so next was to test for a 2 wire set up and I moved the audio source to the RJ45 center pins 4 & 5 and presto! audio was heard through the TR monitor speaker. So at least for now I can use the MC2000 in 2 wire config mode but the main goal is for 4 wire config, tone remote of multiple frequency channels. Looks like I will be purchasing the programming software if still available from Moto (RVN4178A).
