Hello and thanks for looking at my post..
I presently have a small security company and I own a conventional analogue radio system with repeater in the 148mhz area.

I am looking at purchasing some used portable radios that have a minimum 32bit type voice encryption (dvp?) that would be compatible with
my analogue repeater system, (25khz spacing, etc)
The radio only needs to be basic. 3 channels minimum, hand held and can be easilly programmed. I have no need to change dvp codes on a regular basis..

any info would be appreciated..

thanks and meery xmas to all!!

Sorry, any type of digital encryption will require a digital capable repeater, such as a Quantar or MSF5000 (digital version). They allow a much wider bandpass & re-clock the data, among other things. For analog encryption, have a look at Midian. They have a rolling code encryption that's about as good as it gets for analog.

you want to remember that if this is a HAM repeater, any type of encryption or code is not allowed on HAM freqs. -- Also, A "secure" Micor (dinosaur) w/ the is aslo capable of 12.5 kilobit secure as well as the ones that wavetar had mentioned earlier...
