Im offering some consoles that are pretty nifty! CHeck out details below:

Fits all Ford F-Series Superduties, & Excursions. Allows three adults to sit up front & still have full radio/equipment room. NO modifications to vehicle! SUPER simple install using six existing factory dash mounts & tension clips. Huge amounts of room inside lazer/water cut, Tig welded console.

It would look much nicer if it were color coordinated to match the dash. The only thing that I'd worry about is the fact that it attaches to a flimsy plastic factory dash with only six screws; you KNOW this thing is going to creak and rattle like crazy within months since it's much heavier than the OEM dash piece!

It does look good, though! Who makes this unit? I haven't seen it before.

When you say it "fits all", does mean all years? We have '96 F-350 that may benefit from that. Will it fit?

IM trying to become a distributor with a local company here - they make the stuff in house. They have consoles that fit explorers, expeditions, F series, excursions, Chevy SUVS and trucks, Crown cics, impalas, etc. They all look GREAT! If I can get this dealership, Ill be offering these units almost at my cost so it will be a great deal! Included will be the custom faceplates. Ive seen them and they are NOT creaky, they are very solid and secure - this company wouldnt have it any other way! Ill keep you informed!

As a sidenote, I had heard that there was a similar design for CV's that go from the climate controls to the floor, and was to look as unobtrusive as possible.

Anyone familiar with that? A nearby department has an "admin" car they'd like to put radio/siren in, but want it to look really nice - it's an unmarked without a cage - designed to take bigwigs, VIPs and others around.

Those look like the ones made by Jotto desk. Stewart Products make a simular unit that I have used to relocate the stock AM/FM on the Ford PI's It has the interchangable faceplates too. I think Jon/Beau makes something simular.

I'd like to find a similar console that will fit in a Lumina. I know there are a couple other folks on the board that drive Luminas too. I'd consider getting one of the stock Troy consoles or something similar, but I have a split-bench in the front. Anyone?

Bob, does your Lumina have anything in or on the transmission hump? If not, I'd definitely go with the Troy. They are super nice.

hmmmm, gave me some idea's, guess I'll have to buy that sheet metal bender that I was looking at. I'll start making these things myself. I also do metal finishing, phosphate base coat, teflon final coat, can also do colors. Baken on finish that is super tough and highly scratch resistant.

Nice to know you can remove that portion of the dash on the F Series Superduty. I have a 2002 F-250, only have my CDM1250 mounted right now, going to put in my VHF Spectra. Both are remote mounts. I'm also going to eventually put in a Kenwood TM-D700A, remote of course. I'll have all the main units behind the rear seat.

After checking my files, These Looks like the auto addition's ford mount. They have some nice explorer and expedition mounts. The expedition mount fits in the stock center console. The Chevy mount is not quite as fancy and a bit pricy but does allow bucket seat use in the front.

My Lumina doesn't have anything on the hump right now. I've looked at the Troy, Stewart, Jotto, Havis, and G-J consoles. I considered the Troy benchseat console. It would look and work well if it were placed immediately in front of the seat. The only problem with that is that I'm not the only driver of the car. Granted, the other half is about my height and has long legs. For me, it's force of habit to leave the seat all the way back and the tilt-wheel in a raised position for those quick bail-outs. She doesn't do that. The other thing is that it's nice to look at pictures on a website, but I'd much prefer to see an actual install before I commit $300 to a project like this. Jotto makes a nice console for the Impala that's identical to the one Matt posted. I wonder how much modification it would take to get it to work with the Lumina. I'm sure the Stewart under-dash console would work, but it won't accommodate all of the radios and controllers I have.

I would love to see any of the companies make a " black rack" for the wrangler.
I want to put some in my jeep but take the top off too there is a console made for it but not for radios. I am thinking about trying it out and doing a CDM1550 remote head mount too.
I want to make a vehicle repeater so when I am on duty I can use my car radio to call the house I should have bought a cherokee I know. I am just not a cherokee guy.
any ideas on antenna mounting I do have a off road light bar that I think will save me in the end.

I also have a Lumina and want to go with a full Troy console but I have the stupid bench seats..... if you ever find a place that has 95-99 Monte Carlos or Lumina LTZ's (which have bucket seats) and they are willing to sell the bucket seats, let me know.. I think that's the only way to go is to replace the seats, especially if you have a lot of radios to put in there like I do......

Well not that it help anyone else that much. BUT... I designed and built my own console. I'm still finishing it and working with several different ideas but so far this is what I have.



Obviously switches are at the top...the open space next to them is for a CD changer controller....

Next is an Astro Spectra W9, then a UHF A7 Spectra 50 watt, and I have to find a new low band radio to put below it since my Orion is non-operational at the moment.

When it's all said and done I'll have about 2 and a half inches of space left over on the bottom if I feel so ambitious to add something else.....

I also have a simple design for a laptop mount that will be affixed to this as well.

Total cost for this project has been $65 plus the time I've put into it. So if you have any creative skills at all creating your own might be a way to go.

Just finishing up my console in my F250 superduty. I did one mount, it was a vertical stand, but couldn't see the displays really well, so now I made a horizontal console that mounts to the hump. Still have all the functionality of the cup holders, etc and mounts between the middle seat and the dash. I'll get someone to host some pics of my install for me, Should be able to take some pics tomorrow, just need to finish one more antenna install and tidy up the cables/wires.
