you will know if it will work because it is made to be used on a saber.

If you are looking for the mic that is like the Jedi Speaker Mics the part number is NMN6225B(at least that is the number on mine). It works very nicely on the radio no problem with audio at all.

Don't do it! We got the round type issued with our Astro Sabers and they stink. That big PTT button is always hitting things and keying the radio when we don't want it to. Some guys have traded their's in for the older style, and some guys just don't used the Speaker Mic.
I bought a Public Safety Mic for my MT 2000 in part because the radio came with a speaker mic with the same style head. What a pain.
Which brings me to a related question. We were told that the Astro Speaker Mic and the regular Saber speaker mic were not the same and not interchangable. However, several people have put the older mic on with no apparent problem. Does anyone know if there any real differences or were the radio folks blowing smoke.
