You should have described that part. I had to research it. That headset accessory may or may not work but the only way to be sure is to try it. It won't harm the radio so go right ahead.
After a certain date, which I think was September 30, 1994, all accessories and radio housings for ALL radios in the Saber series, including Saber SI's, Systems Sabers, Sabers, and Astro Sabers were standardized as far as their connection pinouts. There's a good chance your headset will work.

I still don't have a full description,
but it seems to me that you're referring
to a 'pass-thru' connector that is used
to secure the accessory connector to the
radio by clamping down around the antenna.
That little item MUST be the right one
for an Astro Saber. Try to use the one
you have now and you'll do a lot of damage
and it'll cost a lot to repair.
Call Motorola's parts ID group at 1-800-422-4210 and ask for the part number for that antenna pass-thru, which is part of the NMN6217 speaker-mic. That part can
be installed in place of the one that's on
your existing unit.
But, let's verify: This headset adapter
you are using now has a clamp that fits over
the radio's antenna receptacle, the special
nut screws in to hold it down, and then the
antenna is screwed in on top of that nut.
Right? If so, this info I gave you should
be correct.

Elroy is spot on, it'll work fine. I swap out the antenna pass through on my speaker mic to use the 'NTN5213C'. Sorry I don't have the part number of the ant pass through for you.

Sometimes you just tend to ignor the simple stuff.....
I just swaped out the pass thru from my astro speaker mic with the one in the adapter and it works great.
Thanks
