how are non standard pl tones allowed to be put into the radio? other radios will accept non standard pls, like 92.4 or 252.2, the ht600 or MT1000 and HT1000 will but cant figure this one out, the shift method was tried also, with no luck.

any help would be great!

Astros will accept only standard PLs. It's hardcoded in the firmware and there is no way to change it.
