I am looking for some pics of the W3 siren cable. In particular I am looking for pics ofg the siren end connector where the cable comes out that goes to either the dek or switch box. I am curiously how they wire it in and what kind of connector they use.
Thanks

Well I modified a normal spectra siren cable for use with the dek box. Programmed the radio for use with the siren and dek box but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have the actual manual that the siren cable diagram post on batlabs is from?
Thanks

Just wanted to give an update on what I have found out so far incase anyone is interested. It appears the only siren that will work with a W3 is the HLN1439A/B. I now have a copy of the manual for the 1439 siren. It also works with the other astros as well. The W3 controls the siren by using a HLN1241 DEK or a special switch box. The DEK and Switchbox actually are wired directly to the siren and the siren is hooked to the radio. Each has its own special siren cable which appears to be the same as a HKN4363 spectra siren speaker with the added cabling for the dek or switchbox.
I have a HLN1439 siren, switchbox and siren cable for the switch box coming. I will let everyone know how it turns out.

I have the complete siren package but when I plug the siren cable db25 into my radio it kills it. It won't even go to a self check. Just sits there like it is in an infinite loop. Pull the siren off and it the radio works just fine. It appears something may be wrong with the interconnect board so I ordered a new one.
Has anyone use the HLN1439 series siren on a midpower W3 before?

The interconnect board isn't the problem. It will be making a depot trip.

Well it came back from the depot. Updated firmware flash, brand new 1 meg vocoder board (used to be 512) and brand new receiver (had bad receive and I didn't even know it). Should all work now. If anyone is interested I might be getting rid of the control cable for the siren since I have made my own special one for use with my computer controlled siren. If anyone has any questions on this setup let me know.
Thanks

Jason - everything working now? Did you try it with the regular siren hook-up cable and switch box?
Just curious.
