Good Morning I have a C7 Model just received and when powered up it flashes ER 17/10 then goes away radio appears to operate ok but can't find any listing for this error any help would be grat full as well is ther any way of increasing the personality from ten to 15 as well the subs from 8 10 I know this can be done I just need a little guidance thanks for your time

17/10 is data mode which you'll need to turn off in radio wide options.

If your model supports it should be able to adjust the number of systems vs talkgroups in the radio wide screen. If you reduce the number of systems you should be able to increase the number of talkgroups.

However not all spectras are set up to do this so you may or may not get it to work. Most spectras are setup with 8 talkgroups per system

The solution is to duplicate your system with groups of eight talk groups each. That;s how we did our dept radios here and by planning which services go under which systems (police, fire etc) its pretty logical how you do it.

thanks that was it as soon as I went into the wide area and turned off the data freq the error went away. I have one other problem and that is that when I in able the Inv_ID and load it in the radio it does not show up when the cars talk or the dispatch any thoughts on this area ? any thanks and I hope u can give me some insight on this

The other unit radios and the dispatch console must be set up to transmit the ID also. Enabling the ID on your radio means you can now recieve the ID of any radio that is setup to transmit its ID.

It will appear for a couple of seconds before the talk group appears. You can adjust the length of time in the RSS.

yes they are set up at the dispatch concoles for the unit IDS. I have prgrammed a couple of soectras in the past but the ones I have done were B5 B7 and when I have enabled In_ID they have come up on the display But when I program up a C7 it never seems to work, I do know for a fact that they are set up at the concoles as wellas the mobiles if u can elp here on this this would be great full thanks foryour time hope to here from you soon

The spectra won't show you the incoming ID unless its some type of call alert paging conventional or trunked.

All you need to do for PTT-ID on a trunked system is enable PTT-ID on a per system basis radio wide that is for each system set the PTT feature to PTT-ID not, messge or transmission trunking.

Once you do that your console will see your ID either in decimal format if the radio isn't alias in the system or the alpha tagged alias assigned to it.

Well it funny because when I have programmed up B5 B7's and I enable Inv_ID Display and talk group dispaly it has shown up on unit this located in the personalty area, So why would it not work when I enable it on a C7 model ? Concoles and units all transmit this so I should see it on the unit that I have programmed C7 thanks for your hope you are able to give me some in site to this.

sorry, I was thinking MDC1200 for some reason. Talkgroup and ID is firmware dependent.

I See it'a firmware issue ok because the ver is 606 well it would be nice if one could up grade this and have all the bell's and wishles, at this point in time with zone ativated one can ownley have max 15 systems with max ten subs and 10 conventional, it would be nice to upgrade it so that one could enjay it thank's for the in site of this if there is a way or image that is around that would up grade it that would be nice to have. the model I have is D45KGA5C7AK
