Along the same lines, I've noticed with the LCS2000 if you have a single talkgroup programmed into the radio, the radio will show 1A in all 16 channel positions, of course, but
it will not work in the 16th channel position! The other 15 slots are fine. I haven't tried it with a GTX portable, or with a greater number of talkgroups programmed into it, although I do know it works fine if you actualy have 16 talkgroups programmed into the zone (1A-1P). Just thought I'd point it out in case anyone runs across it.

DOH!! I meant to say LTS2000! Yes, I know if there's an actual talkgroup programmed into the position, it works. BUT, try only programming a single talkgroup into the radio, and then using it on position 16...it won't work, even though it's supposed to default to the position 1 information.

Tell me about it. The funny thing is, we've been selling them for years, with nary a problem. Then one day, a customer brings in 2 that aren't working, then a few hours later brings in a third! That's when I figured something was going on...and discovered they were all turned to channel 16. Never even occured to us to check something like that up until then. He wasn't real happy with the explanation either, but waddya gonna do?

I have tried it with an LCS2000. You can add many conventional modes but after ,I think 18, it responds with a continous 'BEEP'.
You must leave at least one trunked mode.
Also, after mode 10, the display shows odd ,but recognizable, figures:
'lets QSY to channel 7%#'
