I got another Spectra off ebay. It turned out to have 10 conventional channels. When you add the T/A it turns out to be 20 channels. I have not tried to force another plug into it ,yet. The VCO moved down just fine. The programming was a B#*@H... I sure hope an easier way comes out soon. I still think that the spectra has the best receiver at 927.

I have two more spectras on the way. When they get here I will take some pictures and post them here showing where to put the resistor to get the vco to move into the ham band. They should be here next week.

Well the latest two spectras came in today. One for me and one for another ham at work. They were very dirty but they seemed to be working. They were D37KGA5JB5FK 10 ch radios. I cloned them with my 128 ch FK radio. Installed a 120K resistor on each VCO and had them on the air in about an hour. It took longer to fix the speaker wires and clean them! I took pictures if I can figure how to post them. Or for now you can email me and I will send them.
